2015 Field Trials: Kelowna

As we do every year, all the NCFRN members will get together for a week to conduct joint testing, collect field data and evaluate performance of the robotics hardware and software developed throughout the year. We will strengthen collaborations between the labs and partners, conduct workshops, and increase our media exposure. The 2015 NCFRN annual field trials will take place in Kelowna, BC on June 13-19.

This year we are happy to announce that the field trials will take place in Kelowna, BC on June 13-19, 2015. Over 100 participants from across the network will join us including our industrial and government partners, our principle investigators' research labs, our distal fellows' research labs and some of our international collaborators.

Over the weekend, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) will include presentations by partners (Companies & Government) on their activity and opportunities, technical meetings, a social event and a banquet. Monday through Friday we'll be doing deployments and testing.

This year we will be also giving the opportunity to HQP led teams to pitch ideas for commercialization of existing NCFRN technologies in a Dragon's Den type of contest. (SNEI activity)

The deployments and testing will take place at the base of Knox Mountain Park and our participants will be hosted by Coast Capri Hotel in central Kelowna, just 5km away from Knox Mountain.

The event is open to NCFRN participants only, but will include a open public media day on Friday June 19th.
